Theo Tziapouras

Growing up with a passion from all things construction and design from his early teenage years, from capturing the world of the built environment from behind the lends, to showcasing brands to audiences of hundreds of thousands of people, our founder Theo Tziapouras has developed a keen passion for the process involved in helping businesses build, grow and showcase their brand.

Theo’s Background

2010
The Launch of Biztour, The UK’s Leading 360 Virtual Tour Agency

After leaving the London College of Communication campus of the University of The Arts London with a BA in Digital Media production and a dissertation on ‘Virtual tours and their benefits to brick and mortar businesses’, Theo embarked on a journey to educate the masses across the UK about a relatively new method of showcasing their businesses online.

Biztour was born, and Theo joined forces with Google to become one of their first Google Trusted Photographers, rolling out 360 virtual tours for businesses across the UK. He worked with the smallest to some of the biggest brands across numerous industries, in particular the retail sector. It was during this time that businesses would ask him if he could help them acquire more leads and sales online.

Although he already possessed a great knowledge in the SEO (search engine optimisation) process and was already using SEO to secure leads for himself, he held back on offering this as a commercial until a few more years down the line.

2013
The Architectural Photography Journey Begins

Working with a number of high profile brands across London whilst running Biztour, Theo is approached by one of his interior design showroom clients and asked if he can capture some interior photography of some of their completed projects. During this time he honed into his artistic side and began to become highly focused in capturing some of the most iconic deisgn and construction projects across the UK, working with brands including Derwent London, Equitone, Oktra, Bluebook, English National Ballet to name a few.

During this period, he significantly expanded his understanding of the built environment industry. He noticed some brands were executing incredible projects and creating outstanding products, but failing to effectively showcase them, diminishing their impact. Conversely, he observed brands that had developed visually appealing websites, yet these sites remained largely unnoticed by the public.

Fast forward 5 years, and as technology evolved and customers increasingly relied on online information to make decisions about services or products, there was a surge in requests from Theo’s clients seeking advice and consultancy on their marketing strategies beyond just photography. It was then he realised it was time to help beyond the camera.

2019
Local Territory Goes Live

Theo took all of the knowledge and understand of general marketing he had acquired over the last few years and used to find success in marketing his own businesses, and began to apply those techniques and methodologies to businesses across the UK. The main services he offered through Local Territory was SEO and web design. His clients celebrated great success and Theo’s passion for digital marketing grew astronomically.

There was something about creating websites that not only were visually pleasing and helped to converted visitors to enquiries, but actually getting said websites seen online by the key target audiences was an unbelievable feeling. It was like creating a new work of art, and putting it right in front of the buyer. Theo’s client base began to grow, as did his passion for digital marketing and his knowledge base in the subject, striving to become a top expert in the field.

2022
The Genesis Of Cornerstone Group

After a few successful years of running Local Territory, surviving the harsh reality of the 2020 global Covid-19 pandemic, Theo realised that as great as Local Territory was, things felt somewhat disjointed at times in regards to his offering. Working with all business types was great, but his true passion was always the build environment.

With his background in photography and video, SEO and web design, he wanted to create a digital agency that served the construction, manufacturing and design sectors, with a tailored and bespoke offering for the industries working within them. His passion was, and has since been reignited as he and the team at Cornerstone offer a truly niche specific service, taking time to understand the niche in which each and every one of our clients works within, and approaching their campaign with a specialist strategy approach, each and every time.
